Graphic Novels with Expert Mat Heagerty

Graphic Novelist Mat Heagerty visited Polson on Sept. 27 to work with Grade 7 students on their graphic novels in language arts. Graphic novels are part of the Unit 1 Grade 7 curriculum, which is focused on exposing students to different styles of writing such as novels in verse, screenplays, etc. As part of the unit, students are asked to practice those styles of writing. Mr. Heagerty walked students through his process as a graphic novelist and helped students create and revise their own work.
