Madison Robotics Wins Big at VEXIQ State Championship

This past weekend, Madison robotics competed at the VEXIQ State Championship in Plainville, CT and took home a number of impressive awards. Polson’s 1695E (Jurassic Spork) finished in third place out of 53 teams.  The 1695E team members are: Liam Finnegan, Matt Reveliotty, Logan Borowiec and London Miles.  The 1695D team received third place in the Design Award. The 1695D members are: Kyle Cerny, Avery Forauer, Kaylee Sayin and Owen Swift. Our 1695F (IRS International Robot Squad) team won the Judges Award. The 1695F members are: Ryan Garcia, Noah White and Teddy Ryan.

Madison’s independent team, Glorious Gigabytes, consisting of Lucas Felberbaum, Silas Song, Kevin Lee, and James Boyd, won the prestigious Program Excellence Award.  This award recognizes the best overall team at the competition.  This includes their performance within the tournament, robot skills and the engineering notebook.  Winning this award has qualified them for the Worlds Tournament in Dallas, Texas on April 30th – May 2st.

In addition, our own MPS teacher and Robotics Coach Dan Grenier was named Volunteer of the Year for VEX Robotics. Please congratulate and recognize these students and Mr. Grenier for the hard work and dedication they displayed this weekend and all season!
