Math Specialist Graham Fletcher Visits Ryerson

Graham Fletcher, a well-regarded education math specialist, spent two days this week working with teachers in Madison.  Columbus Day is a full day of professional development for teachers across the district, and Math teachers K-6 had the opportunity to have direct training from Mr. Fletcher.  On Tuesday, Graham Fletcher modeled for teachers across the district at Ryerson Elementary School seeing the methods at work with Madison students.

The visit was Fletcher’s second to the district.  Teachers are working with an approach called 3 Act Math- asking students to notice, wonder and gather information to approach and solve complex math problems.
