Lt. Governor Bysiewicz Visits Ryerson

Lt. Governor Bysiewicz visited Ryerson Elementary School to welcome students and staff back for the first day of school. During her visit she recognized MPS 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year Rene Chin and ParaEducator of the Year Kathleen Durkin and highlighted state funding the District recently received to increase access to mental health services.

State Senator Christine Cohen, State Representative John-Michael Parker, and Board of Education members Emily Rosenthal and Galen Cawley were also in attendance.
